Founded, owned, and operated by local father/son duo Rob and Christopher Griffin, the Mashie is FOR Local golfers, BY Local golfers.

We grew up in this town and in this golf community. We grew up playing these courses, taking local instruction, playing in local tournaments, practicing at all of our facilities, and enjoying being in the Golf Capital of the World.

After over a decade away, Christopher returned home to find that our courses have sold their driving ranges, our practice facilities falling apart, Club Pros with nowhere to do lessons - instruction, practice, and play unreasonably priced, youth programs shutting down, and Top Golf moving in.

To cap it off, nearly half of our courses are now owned by foreign corporations who's priority seems to be food/beverage sales.

Our local golf community needs support.

Our local golfers need resources at an affordable rate, and in an approachable, year-round, high-level, environment. An environment perfect for ALL skill levels and ages. Our local golfers deserve the same resources that thousands of towns that are NOT called "The Golf Capital of the World" have.

Why "Institute"

The term "Institute" is typically reserved for a research facility and the Mashie is exactly that. We're trying to figure out just how good the Local Myrtle Beach Golf Community can get if they have access to everything the Pros use to get good and stay good.

Our vision

Provide our local golf community with a world-class training facility, instruction, and the opportunity to live a truly professional golf lifestyle at a fraction of the current cost. We want local course records to be held by locals!
